Polycarbonate beads designed with reactive sites allow them to crosslink with acrylic, epoxy, polyester and polyurethane resins to form a co-polymer matrix with enhanced physical properties, such as, improved abrasion and scratch resistance. Chemically resistant and durable, the beads can be used as a filler to reduce the weight of a coating, but are more commonly used as an anti-slip or texturising agent additive in domestic and industrial flooring applications, for barefoot traffic and main foot traffic areas. Polymer beads maintain clarity and will not distort or diminish colours, graphics or surface patterns.
