Every mineral product we source, whether as a standalone product or a component of a formulation blend, needs to be dried before it can be used.
Controlling moisture content is a crucial part of supplying our key markets since it preserves product integrity and makes products easier to handle. Our 3 gas-powered rotary drying plants can dry any granular product from 0.1 mm to 20 mm, with the capacity to dry over 25 metric tonnes of material per shift. Additionally, we work with organisations to dry their independently procured materials.
Boud can process minerals to almost any specification thanks to a variety of sieving equipment for de-dusting, re-grading, ‘topping and tailing’, as well as both Rotex and Sweco machines on site. We are able to ‘top and tail’ the mineral to remove particle sizes above and below specification when formulations dictate or there is a very tight grading requirement. Mineral products are de-dusted using a similar process to supply very clean particles.
